When the lamps are low and the shadows get nosy, nothing beats a good old-time radio chiller. Lights Out, Inner Sanctum, Suspense, and The Witch’s Tale proved the scariest pictures are the ones you paint in your mind—carrots snapping for bones, wet leather for muddy graves, and a pinch of early electronics to rattle the nerves.
