When Steve Mitchell walked in to the commissioners office he doesn't realise that this assignment is going to show him that sometimes the best thing that can happen to a guy is to get caught in the middle of a riot. 

Steve Mitchell is sent to Hungary after some American GI's are framed by Austrians for an attack on a strategic mine in Hungary which left 6 Hungarian guards dead.
